I am looking so forward to seeing everyone again! This reunion has been a long time coming. Denise Leslie and I started talking about organizing a Portola reunion back in the late 80's early 90's. We were so excited, knew exactly what we would wear (evening gowns similar to what you would see on Dynasty, yikes), and contacted a reunion company only to have our dreams dashed. We were told that they would not do it as Jr. High reunions never worked so good luck and goodby. All these years later and thanks to the internet, Karen Camargo and I hooked up through Classmates.com. After a couple of e mails and learning that we both had always wanted to have a Portola reunion, here we are and it's going to be a huge success. Screw you reunion company.

No story, just some great memories. Doing the Hustle in the gym at lunch. Hanging out at the creamery after school. Streaking with Lauren C and Jackie S. Damis C carrying my books to class. Painters pants, leg warmers, platform tennis shoes, tube tops, rainbow shirts & suspenders. Kidnap pajama parties, The beach bus, Going to my first concert with ? We saw Led Zeppelin, yes I said Led Zeppelin. People who will remain nameless (V K) having to be picked up from Disneyland jail by her mother,after being busted in the parking lot for smoking pot and before ever making it in to the park. Tuna casserole in the cafeteria. Dori R sleeping over for weeks on end. Taunting Susan Olson by yelling (Cindy Brady) every time we walked by her classes. Disco LTD and all of the crazy parties that happened after the club (anyone remember the horse painted to look like a zebra?), Feathered hair and perms. Lisa S's ginormous black Kiss boots and the teasing she had to endure for weeks on end. Detention with Mr. Hart, he called me disco dollie. Watching American Bandstand to see Suzette K & Verby N dance on Saturdays. Ditching school with Carla S and Valerie K and the crazy nickname they gave me after getting high and eating Top Ramen all day. Angelina luis dina markus belly woe. Yes people still call me this or a version there of. Making cinnamon toast at my house for Robyn B & Joyce A. Smoking ciggeretts & listening to David Bowie and Suzie Quatro albums with Joe O and Valerie K after school. Taking turns with Stacie G and Valerie K to go under the bungalow with Chris Carnel (Oh wait, that was at Nestle).
