I remember Joseph Yanks from my early days at Nestle. He was always in the back row (as one of the tall kids) during class picture day. Although we weren't great friends, I remember him being a really kind person and gentle soul.

I am so sorry for the loss of one of the good people in this world.

I knew joe through all of nestle avenue...from kindergarten on....He was always in the top row...as the photos posted will show you...

He was quiet...and kind...and an old soul...even when we were very young...

I didn't know him well as a teenager...it is always so sad when someone goes so young..

God rest him...

I knew Joe from elementary school, too. The year I realized I COULD be good at team sports, Joe was there to offer tips and advice on smacking that softball home. I remember thinking he was an amazing ball player, and back then we were all so immortal. I guess part of me still feels that way, so this came as quite a sad shock. Swing away home, Joe. You'll be missed.

Wow, I knew Joe pretty well. I'm really at a loss here. I don't know anything about this. What happened?
