Sonya and I live about 40 miles NW of Chicago. We have 2 boys. Ben's a freshman at McHenry County College and Nick's a Jr. in high school.
I've worked for Motorola as an engineer for 20 years. I hope to stay there a few more years, but things are looking a bit dicey at the moment :-( I spend most of my spare time playing guitar. I play in the band at our church for our contemporary services. Our son Ben is a drummer so I've also recently started trying to learn drums. I pretty much suck at that so far, but it's fun.
Sonya has been at home with the kids since Ben was born. She keeps herself very busy making custom greeting cards, scrapbooks, etc. She also leads a group at our church that makes hand-made cards for nursing home residents, new mothers, new members, etc.
We have also taken up camping in recent years. Not real camping :-), we have a travel trailer. I call it our hotel room on wheels. Most of the time we camp out at loud thunder while we're back visiting family and friends. Last summer with gas at $4/gal we got in the habit of just leaving the camper at my parents house in Ill. City so we didn't have to spend $200+ in gas per weekend just pulling the camper back and forth. Our Durango gets about 8-9 mpg when we have the camper on.... OUCH. It really doesn't do all that much better without the camper when Sonya's driving (that's an inside joke... Sonya is a lead-foot).
That's our life in a nutshell. Looking forward to seeing you at the reunion!
