Eventhough we didn't leave until 12:45ish I was still wound up when I got home last night, I wasn't even sleepy. Sandy put 4 pieces of cake in a container to bring home with me so.... I got a fork, put in the Slide Show, had my booklet in my lap, ate 2 pieces of cake, watched the entire slideshow twice and read everyones page in the booklet. It was 3:30 before I went to bed.

I had a GREAT time and hope everyone else did to. I agree with Valynda, the time flew by so fast. Sorry Brent for blaming you for the Vodka thing, I should have know it was Robert Graves. (LOL) Oh yeah, Brent Smith, I'm impressed you knew how to spell "phenomenal", but most of all, I am so glad you used that word because that is exactly how I feel about our 30th reunion.

It was so good to see everyone. Let's keep this forum going so "keep talking oh keep talking". (that's words from Greased Lightning)

I honestly don't see how the 30 yr could be topped. I had a wonderful time. It was WONDERFUL seeing everyone. I don't know if we should even wait 5 years to have another one. Life is so short you never know what could happen in 5 years. Maybe we could just all go to dinner every year or so. It's amazing how some people didn't change at all, just a few wrinkles and a little gray hair, maybe not as much hair. Then others I would have never know if I passed them on the street. God Bless you all and thanks for the invitation, lets see who we can get to come next time, everybody look at the school pictures, see who wasn't there and lets see if we can get in touch with them. Had so much fun, Love all you guys. Melva, you done an Outstanding job, Thanks a bunch.

I had a WONDERFUL time Saturday night. I think everyone there did as well. I'll have to admit my legs and feet were a little sore on Sunday. Some things aren't as they used to be. It was so good to see everybody and to remember some of the great times we had and obviously still can have. We still make a great team.

The committe had a really good time planning and getting ready for the reunion. I hope some of you will consider being a part of that next time. Then you can do "Greased Lightning" for us!! I"ll bet you were surprised! And what about Eddie sliding across the floor? Wasn't he fun? I hope you have enjoyed the DVD and the book. Kudos to Roger and his son Jordan for that.

For those of you who did not make it, we really missed you. But, it's not to late. We have this website and we can all stay in touch. And maybe get together now and then.

May God bless and keep us throughout all the journey's of our lives. Until we meet again.

The only thing I missed was the time and it went by so fast. If you wasn't there you missed the time of your life. And yes I can dance or I think thats what it was. You all are the best and lets do it again after the soreness is gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello all! I want to express my sincere thanks to Melva, Valynda and everyone else who had a part in putting together the reunion. Excellent job! It was great to see everyone and it kind of made me feel like it really wasn't that long ago that we were all together in that little school up in the corner.

I would have liked to have spent more time with each of you but Brent gave me $20 to sit with him, and, times are tough so you gotta get it where you can.

Even though I was only with you guys for 4 1/2 years, I feel like I grew up with you. You really are a great group of people and you made me feel welcome from the first day I arrived. Thank you so very much for the fond memories.

We just had a wonderful time at the 30th reunion in Shelbyville. It was so well planned out and we had a lot of fun out of the committee's dance acts. The committee did a great job with every aspect of the reunion. I don't think anyone could do a better job.

Thanks for a job well done. Will be looking forward to the 35th reunion.

Sincerely
Kevin and Michelle Johnson Armstrong

Valynda Campbell (Stallings)

Now I know why Brent wouldn't buy any more tickets from me....he spent all his money paying people to sit with him. Robert, how much did he give you to say YOU replaced the water with vodka in the Senior Play?? He claims complete innocence.....hhhmmmm

Jane Schultz

I had an awesome time at the reunion and could not believe how the night flew by. Maybe that's because we were all in good company. It was really fun watching the committee and boy I didn't know Eddie could move like that. For those who couldn't make it, you missed the time of your life. I think it was the best reunion ever. Who says we're getting old? We're just getting better-like fine wine!!!

Thanks to everyone who put in the time to make the night a sucess. I know that is hard with everyone's busy lives. Sometimes we just need to forget about all the daily hassels and going back in time to our high school years was a great get-away.
Looking forward to the next one!!!

Brent Smith

Actually Robert, the $20 came from Starla. She gave it to me to give to you so she could sit by me. Note where she sat all night and it may become obvious. Good to see you guys. BS

Robert Graves

Valynda, I wasn't going to tell about that, but since Brent has taken the path of prevarication, he also gave me $20 to take responsibility for the vodka incident. I would never have done anything to jeopardize the integrity of such an important piece of comedic theater. My respect for my craft would not allow it.

10/28/08 07:44 PM #55

Valynda Campbell (Stallings)

OK here is what I really want to know....where did you two learn such big words because I know it wasn't at THS!!!! Robert did you ever notice that Brents initials also stand for something else?

10/28/08 10:00 PM #56

Melva Hume (Hill)

Valynda, when I saw his initials, I thought the very same thing and when I read your last posting, I just laughed and, of course, I have to add my 2 cents worth. Brent was always full of BS.......but very tactful and sneaky making sure he didn't get caught......

Yeah, what about Robert using those BIG words, he couldn't let Brent get one up on him.

Hey Brent, did you run in to anyone at the Waffle House on Sunday????? It is such a small world.

10/28/08 11:15 PM #57

Eddie Whitehouse

All full of BS Kathy seen a lot more than 2 or 3 $20 s Just think If Rob Helton had come and partied the original party animal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10/28/08 11:37 PM #58

Marsha Coulter (Stout)

Okay Melva and Maudine. I feel I must defend Robert and Brent. I don't know what you are talking about with the big words. I have always thought they were both quite worldly and sophisticated men!!!

Did you not see Robert bring the girls together in song Saturday night? Just like Tony Orlando and Dawn. And do you not remember his fabulous performance in the senior play? Even though he was in his coveralls he was quite the man of the house.

And then there's Brent. What can I say? You know what Brent? I think the two of them are just jealous. Because, they did not get to kiss you in the senior play!
Eat your heart out girls!

Rita Sharp (Sweazy)

I just wanted to say thanks to all who worked on the reunion. It Was Great !!!

I had so much fun talking to people I hadn't seen for so long. Some of us look different & some of us look the same, just a little older. Richard had fun too. He especially liked all the hugs from my friends.

There where alot of highlights in the evening for me. The games, the special dancing from the committe, group dancing, the singing from Megan and a big highlight was getting to sing with some of my old classmates. Who new Robert could sing bass & keep the beat with the tambourine? Thanks for helping me out . I think even the class of 73 enjoyed watching us over the petition.
I'm looking forward to the next reunion.

Now Eddie I've gone and gotten older, slower, bigger, and the hangovers hurt a lot more now so I had to slow down some so now I just drink on the days ending in Y.And Eddie I would have loved to have been there and helped you off the floor after you did your slide, yeah I heard about that.Brent and Robert to think I knew you two when you were mere mortals and didn't know all those big fancey words haha.I have to defend Robert at the senior play, when he took a drink of his vodka laced coffee he showed extreme surprise and I can't blame Brent for sure because there were many people backstage.Am still trying to remember who did the vodka, almost got it figured out,I can almost remember but age is making the memory slower. Will get back to ya with it.Later

I think the $20 s where part of the bets floating around to see who was going to have the first heart attack on the dance floor. Don't worry Helton I got you back I have had to pack you arround before. Come see me all of you as many as want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa Cornell (Lewis)

Just wanted to say thanks to all who put a tremendous amount of time and energy into our reunion. I think a good time was had by all. It was really good to see everyone and remember our youth. To those of you who could not attend, you missed a wonderful experience. Eddie, if you and Rob ever want to ride thru J-Town again, call me. We'll take my jeep, and won't lose a muffler.......... What about it Rob? Are you game?

11/04/08 08:01 PM #64
