Robert (Bobby) Stanley Carter was born 2-16-51 and passed away March of 1998 from complications of Type 1 diabetes. He was my lifelong friend. He was loved dearly and is missed terribly. RIP Bobby
The last time I saw Bobby was at the '60's Reunion. We talked for along time. Along about 8:30 pm he said he hadn't been well and was tired and thought he might find his sister to get a ride. I told him that Phil and I would be happy to take him to where he was staying. I'm so happy to have had that time with him. He was truly a good guy.
To Bob - I know that you aren't going to be with us in body at the reunion but I know you'll be there in spirit. I miss you Bobby.
I attended Bob's funeral. It was really a great tribute to the wonderful man he had become. I dug out my card that they give you at the service and Bob actually died March 18, 1998 - not 1996/97 as previously noted here.
Because of his health, Bob was not working at the time of his death. Prior to that he had been a high manager with Radio Shack. Even though he wasn't working, he was never idle. He rebuilt old jukeboxes and had several in his house at the time of his death. Bob was always positive, told great stories and kept me laughing. I know if he was still with us, he would be very active on the website and would have kept us entertained with his great stories - some we might not want to be reminded of. Bob had great memories of all of us and the last time I saw him he was still filling me in on all the things that had gone on during our high school years that I knew nothing about. I wish I had written it all down! I miss you Bob. God Bless.
