Shoot Al, was so surprised to hear you have passed. I still remember the time we went backpacking and you were having such a hard time. But when I looked in your backpack and it was full of canned food I had to laugh!
I was a split-end in football our freshman year, until Al and his '6-foot whatever' height showed up to practice a week late. I made a pretty good tight end after that. Al was the definition of a true gentleman, and taught us all how to be humble. He was very soft spoken, but had not problem speaking up. A major player in our two CIF Championships and a member of the 44-0 Club. Rest in peace.
