What is your favorite memory from THS? What is your least favorite memory?

Best: Having fun with the girls; Spring Break in South Padre my Senior Year, sneaking out & goofing off w/friends, spending summers at my grandparents in Port A., writing on Suicide Hill.
Bad: Cheerleading for the worst football team in McQueen's coaching history. I had to go to EVERY game & I think we lost almost all of them (except 1). We would go to Golden Coral with the football team after the away games & they would all be so sad. I felt bad for them.
The worst: My sister totaling my new car my Junior year! She & her friend took the keys from my room while I was sleeping. They went over to her boyfriend's house, Haussman (can't remember the first name - brother is Skip). The police knocked on our door at 3:00 AM reporting that my car had been stolen & totaled. Once my parents found out it was my sister & that she was not physically injured, she was in BIG trouble!

What was the last song you purchased?

Fracesca Battistelli
Brandon Heath

Are there any famous or interesting people you have met?

George W. Bush, Laura Bush (campaigning in Florida for the 2000 election). My husband & I lived in Orlando at the time.
David Robinson, Avery Johnson, Duncan (my husband loves the Spurs). They are all very tall, except Avery "the general".
My husband's 100 year old grandmother. She can tell you some stories! She's amazing.
From a distance: Bill Clinton (1994 in Latvia), Dennis Quaid (in the mall in Denton, Tx).

Favorite TV show(s)?

House, Deadliest Catch (my husband can't believe that I like this show), CSI Las Vegas, Seinfield, King of Queen's, Frazier

Favorite Movie(s)?

"The man who new too little" with Bill Murray
"Pride & Prejudice"

Tell us something that you love:

God, my husband & kids

What is the biggest thing that you would do differently if you went back to your time at THS?

Really, nothing.
Jokingly, I wouldn't let Jason Leavelle get me into trouble. Although, he always made me laugh. Among MANY other things, I remember him throwing spit wads in class & telling the teacher that I was the one who was doing it. I don't think the teacher believed him, but I still got in trouble because my mother (another school teacher) found out about it. She always found out about what I said & did or didn't do at school!

When was the last time you belly laughed?

Today; watching my daughter pretend to be mommy with my son.

What are some things from your "Bucket List"?

Things I've done: 3 months in Eastern Europe just after the wall fell.
Backpacking with my husband for a month across Western Europe (I was only allowed by my husband to bring 1 small backpack & a carry-on size suitcase & I was glad that I did because we walked miles & miles & got on & off a dozen trains, planes, boats & automobiles), trips to Costa Rica, Canada, Mexico & the Eastern & Western Carribean with my hubby. (All in the 10 years of marriage before our 2 wonderful children were born!)
To Do: Visit missionary friends in Africa & China, see the Holy Land, compete in a triathlon at 40 (training now), enjoy watching my kids grow up & treasure every moment.

School Story:

Driving my Dad's truck over to Todd Thompson's house when I was a sophomore (it started MOST of the time without the keys in the ignition). When it was time to leave, the truck would not start to drive it home. I had to call my Dad to come & get it. I got in BIG trouble. I did not have my driver's license yet....yikes!
I remember the time my parents found out about our
Senior Party land party (I was the treasurer) & who's property we were using for the party. They proceeded to call the parents of this individual. Needless to say the party was canceled. I felt terrible. I still don't know how they found out...my little sister, Nicole, maybe...She conveniently doesn't remember.

What have you been up to since you graduated?

I work part time as a Speech Pathologist / Dysphagia Specialist for St Davids Medical Center. I love my job. I love seeing patients (of all ages - the NICU babies & neuro patients are my favorite) & hanging with my work friends a few days per week.
