Jessie S.Bell was a Highly respected Police Officer. He started his Law Enforcement career at Texas City Police Department and moved on to Houston Police I believe in 1973. He became one of Houston Police's first group of Helicopter Pilots,He was Involved in many captures in his career and respected by all officers. His last years before his retirement he instructed the young Helicopter pilots Houston PD has now. He constantly came to many events that involved Texas City Police and never forgot his roots of Texas City. He even attended my retirement in 2003. Pete ( or Tweety Bird) as he was known to all passed away approx one year after his retirement. He worked in Law Enforcement some 30+ years. Texas City & Houston lost a fine Officer..
I ran into Jesse in the parking lot of the health club that I attended years ago. He told me he was a helicopter pilot for the Houston police department and they watched high risk parking lots from the air. He said that particular parking lot was very high risk so to always park close to the door and be careful when I left. It was good to see him then even if it was just a short visit in the parking lot.

I've been away from the computer all day and just noticed the comments from you and Pamela about his death and am really saddened by this.
