Donald Ray Williams was born in Galveston, Texas on May 1, 1950 to Levera Williams. He attended school in Texas City and graduated from Texas City High School in May 1968. Upon graduation, he attended Texas Southern Universit and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. He was a teacher at Marshall Middle School in Houston, Texas. He passed away on June 21, 2021 in Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Levera (Williams) and Robert L. Griffin, Sr.; wife, Gloria Scott-Williams and son, Donald Ray Williams, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving son, Donald Benard Williams; loving daughter, Dengelique Denaise Williams (Valton); three supportive grandchildren; one great-grandson; two devoted godchildren; and a host of friends; co-workers, neighbors and extended family members.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021 in the Evelyn Banks Mitchell Memorial Chapel at Frazier-Mitchell Funeral Service, Inc. from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
