Dave died October 24, 2009 at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, OH, surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 17, 1939 in Tiffin to Paul, Sr. and Grace Brownell Johnson.  He married the love of his life, Margorie Jacobs, on November 28, 1959 and they had four children, Michael (Amanda), Terri Johnson, Elizabeth (Tony Sigler) Johnson of Tiffin and Julie (John) Bowers of New Lebanon, OH.  Also surviving him were nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul (Sue Brill) Johnson and John (Linda) Johnson and two sisters, Jean (Duane) Johnson and Joyce (James) Hohman of Tiffin.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and a son, James Johnson.

David retired from Basic Refractories after 42 years, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club.  He was involved in a bowling league and enjoyed the outdoors and camping with his family.
