Jacqueline "Jackie" Nusbaum Depp

Jacqueline Sue Depp, 76, of Old Fort and formerly of Tiffin and Virginia Beach, Virginia, died at 9:17 p.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at her residence.

Jacqueline was born Dec. 2, 1940, in Tiffin, to Ralph and Josephine (Bridinger) Nusbaum.

Survivors include a son, Brian Depp of Tiffin; two daughters, Michelle (Thomas) Huggins of Aiken, South Carolina, and Amy (Dennis) Long of Chesapeake, Virginia; six grandchildren, Jason (Misha) Depp, Corey Depp, Greg (Alisa) Depp, Dustin Long, Ashley Long and Chelsea (Cisco) Roque; six great-grandchildren, Kai, Laila, Krisztian, Austin, Grayson and Temuujin; a brother, Terry (Elaine) Nusbaum of Tiffin; and three sisters, Vickie (Donald) Bauer, Georgia Nusbaum and Marian Sherwood, all of Tiffin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edward Nusbaum, Robert Nusbaum and Gerald Nusbaum; and a sister, Twila John.

Jacqueline was a 1959 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and had worked as a caretaker at Hearth and Home Assisted Living Center. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge. She was a breast cancer survivor, a Navy wife and she enjoyed crocheting, her grandbabies and her Cleveland Indians.

Visitation will be noon-3 p.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-3113, followed by her funeral service at 3 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care, who gave great care and support.

I visited Jackie's family at the funeral home.  They were very proud that Jackie got her GED.  Her daughter and son-in-law gave her a class ring and her sisters gave her a cap and gown to celebrate the occasion.

Jackie had an extensive collection of bears (over 2000).  Her family brought some of them and asked each person who came to take home one of them.
