Burton B. Park

Burton B. Park, 78, of Tiffin, passed away at 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at his residence.

Burt was born on January 8, 1941 in Tiffin, to the late Donald and Alice (Boehler) Park. He married his high school sweetheart, Jane (Tomb) in Tiffin on October 14, 1961.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jane Park of Tiffin, a daughter, Amy Park of Arizona, a son, Murray (Mindy) Park of Tiffin, 2 grandchildren, Christina Park and Danielle Park.

Burt was the founder and operator of Sound Systems Incorporated in Tiffin which he started in 1963 until he sold the business in 2005. He was a 1959 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School.

Burt was avid car collector and enjoyed traveling the world with Jane. Going on many cruises, attending many car shows and swap meets throughout the United States and Europe. In addition to vintage cars Burt also enjoyed Photography and collecting vintage photography equipment with his first job as a teenager being at Sayger Photography in downtown Tiffin.

There will be a Celebration of Burt's Life on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 6:00 p.m., at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory. 135 North Washington Street in Tiffin. There will be visitation held for family and friends from 3:00 p.m., until the time of the service at the funeral home. There will be a private family burial held at Fairmont cemetery at a later date.

The family requests no flowers be sent and to make a donation to a charity in Burton's memory.
