Frances K. Clayburn

Frances K. Clayburn, 84, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024, at St. Francis Home in Tiffin.

Frances was born Feb. 5, 1940, in Tiffin, to Doyle and Stella (Baughman) Shock. She married James Clayburn on Nov. 19, 1960, at Salvation Army in Tiffin, and he preceded her in death.

Frances' survivors include her children, Linda Barney of Columbus and James Clayburn and Barbara McLaughlin, both of Tiffin; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Dale (Peg) Shock of Tiffin.

Frances worked at Mercy Hospital for 26 years and later at St. Francis as a nurse's aide. She was a member of Tiffin Salvation Army and 1959 graduate of Tiffin Columbian. She enjoyed volunteering to help people and just sitting with people and hearing their stories.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Robert and John Shock; and two sisters, Joan Fadeley and Doris Kubis.

Frances' funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory, Tiffin. Visitation for family and friends will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow services Thursday at Seneca Memory Gardens.
