Willis was born June 27, 1941, in Tiffin, to Paul and Ruth "Rudy" (Malone) Staib. He married Marla (Mann) May 16, 1964, in Tiffin, and she survives in Toledo.

Survivors include his three sons, Roger Staib of Vanlue, Kory (Carla) Staib of Tiffin and Mark Staib of Toledo; three grandchildren, Joshua Staib of Findlay, Kory Young of Tiffin and Cassandra Russell of West Salem; and a brother, Paul Staib of Tiffin.

Willis worked as a machinist for Excello-AirFoil-Textron in Fostoria for 29 years. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church and a 1959 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School. Willis was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during Vietnam.

Willis was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronnie Staib; and a sister, Helen Collins.

The funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Engle-Shook Funeral Home and Crematory, 135 N. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-1221, with Pastor Ruth Lynch officiating and military rites being rendered by United Veterans Council.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, April 25, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Autumnwood Care Center's Freedom Hall.
