
Janet M. Nichols, 61, of Tiffin, died Friday, July 7, 2002 at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin.
She was born February 11, 1941 in Seneca County to Robert and Madeline A. (Werling) Kiesel. She married James R. Nichols on December 21, 1957, in Tiffin. He survives in Tiffin.
Other survivors include: her step mother, Eva Pergram of Johnsonville, SC; two daughters, Mrs. Deb (John) Mears of Ashland and Mrs. Donna (Gregg) Borton of Columbus; two sons, Dan Nichols of Tiffin and Doug Nichols of Republic; 14 grandchildren and a sister Barbara Owens of Johnsonville, SC.
Janet was a homemaker, a member of St. Jaacob United Church of Christ in Repbublic and St. Jacob Women's Guild and Consistory.
The funeral was held at Hoffmann-Gottfried Funeral Home and burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Tiffin.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, The American Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Janet Kiesel was born February 11, 1941 to Robert and Madeline (Werling) Kiesel. Janet attended Clinton Elementary School and lived right down the road from the school.She attended Columbian High School.
On December 21, 1957, she married James R. Nichols.
Janet died July 5, 2002 in Tiffin.
They had 2 daughters; Deb (John) Mears of Ashland, OH and Donna (Greg) Borton of Columbus and 2 sons; Dan of Tiffin and Doug of Republic. She also had 14 grandchildren. Her sister, Barbara Owens of Johnsonville, SC survives.
Janet and Jim attended the Class of 1959 Medicare Party and enjoyed themselves.
