I say Ed Davis on Christmas Day.  We were having lunch with my mom and he and his family were having lunch with his mom at the nursing home in Tiffin.  He looks exactly the same as high school.  Visited for a short while and caught up with him.  Met his wife too.  Hope he comes to the big 50 reunion.  Nearline

I just added a photo of a class reunion, 1973 I believe.  I do not recall where the picture was taken; does any recall?  (What may not be readily obvious is that the left wall is a mirror giving the allusion that there are more in the picture.)

I visited Alvin Phelps at the Phoenix VA Hospital.  Alvin's wife, Jeannine, has been told that he has only months to live.  While his grasp of today is sometimes tenuous, Alvin's memories of Columbian are clear.  Please take the time to send a card or letter, he would love to hear from you....................   Phoenix VA Healthcare System, Community Living Center,  650 Indian School Road, ALVIN PHELPS, ROOM 124, Phoenix, AZ  85012

Thank You

TO ALL CLASSMATES:

I would highly recommend that everyone attend the Tiffin Columbian Class of 1963's.. 50th Reunion which is coming up September 7, 2013 at the Amvets in Tiffin .

I can"t say as I have attended very many Reunions myself, or stayed in touch with anyone except one person. However, when I found out about the Class Web Site, I saw how I could send some of my old friends and classmates a message via the web site. I started to contact them and I can"t tell you how glad we all were to find each other again.

I also found out about the class dinners held on the last Thursday of each month at T. J. Willies (out at Westgate) at 5:30 p.m. I have attended some of the dinners, and I can"t tell you how good it was to see old classmates again.

I found out a few years ago WHY I didn"t like to go to the class reunions.  To me, the reunions in the beginning were all about who had the best job, or was the most successful, had the best looking wife or husband.. As I grew older I noticed that those things no longer mattered to anybody. That"s right, - no longer mattered who was fat, thin, bald, financially living day to day, or whatever things life held for them. Of course, for me, I am single, and felt out of place. For others it could be because of getting a divorce, widowed, etc.

A 50th Anniversary is a momentous moment in time, because we have already lost some of our classmates, and there will be more in the future. (Unfortunately for all of us).

SO PLEASE COME TO THE REUNION IN SEPTEMBER. WE"D ALL LIKE TO SEE YOU AGAIN.

Hope everyone is looking forward to the 50th reunion, has it really been that long?  Carol is doing a great job on the planning.  Ed Martin is getting things together at the AMVETS.  I really hope we have a good turnout.  Reservations are coming in.  I can't wait to go to the mailbox every day.  Alot of classmates from out of state have sent theirs in, hoping to get more from the Seneca Co. area.  Well looking forward to Sept!  Nearline

Great job by the Reunion Committee for a truly memorable weekend. Mary and I were so happy to be there and everyone appeared to be having a great time. It takes a lot of hard work to accomplish a weekend of activities as we had. Once again, GREAT JOB.

Back home again in Washington to finish out a fantastic summer with little to no rain, just nice sunny weather.  It was great to see everyone at the reunion and to share experiences again.  I too agree that the reunion committee did a superb job in pulling it all together.  Thanks so much for the hard work.  It would be nice to do it again long before 5 more years pass.  I like the idea of the 70th birthday party.  Let's work on that as a team.  Carol, as an organizer and team leader we take our hats off to you.  Thanks everyone for making the effort to attend.  Sorry Pat could not attend but she enjoyed hearing all the stories.

HI EVERYONE;

I can not tell all of you how very much I enjoyed our 50th Class Reunion, seeing you again, chatting, and sharing memories.  I have not seen some of you since High School, and it was a thrill to see you again. Thanks to all of you for making the effort to attend.

Many thanks to our wonderful Reunion Committee. They put in a lot of time and effort that I’m sure we are not aware of.  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Thanks also to those of you who have shared your photos from the event and making them available to all of us. I hope there are others who took photos who will share them with us also. I know I have photos from the Columbian Tour and I’ll let you know when they are ready and where you can find them.

Also – I have made a short video for all of you and will put it on Facebook or Youtube as soon as I can figure out how to do it..:

Also will be posting Columbian Tour Saturday morning.

I am looking forward to our next reunion – hopefully in 2 years.
