Martha Jane Cover, 66, died at 7 p.m. May 9, 2011, at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home.
She was born May 8, 1945, in Tiffin to Edwin P. and Barbara A. Zeiter Brown, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 28, 1967, she married Thomas L. Cover, who survives in Lima.
Mrs. Cover was a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Middle Point, and St. Luke Lutheran Church, Lima, where she was in the music ministry. She was a member of the Cookie Cutters Collectors Club, owning more than 2, 000 cookie cutters, and would speak to area groups about them. She was a member of the Women of Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Social Order of the Beauceant and volunteered at Horace Mann Elementary School.
Survivors also include two sons, Anthony L. (Amy Sue) Cover, of Wapakoneta, and Timothy A. (Jeanette) Cover, of Bucyrus; a daughter, Janet M. (James) Oney, of Camden; a brother, George H. (Judith) Brown, of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Mary A. (Dr. John Collins) Brown, of State College, Pa.; and five grandchildren, Nathan, Jacob, Ashley, Thomas and Abigail.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Luther Cover Jr.
Services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Middle Point. Pastor Michael Hughes, Pastor Arthur Wilde and Pastor Gust Wuorinen will officiate. Burial will be in King Cemetery, Middle Point.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel, and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
