Hello Mrs Young, My name is Molly and I am John Crabill's daughter. I stumbled upon your page when randomly googling Dad's name one day. It is a beautiful tribute (especially Dan's note) and I thank you for posting it. I was two when dad died and so I don't have a lot of memories of him, but would be happy to share any additional information you would like for his page. One thing I did want to correct is his date of death. Dad died in December of 1981. If you or your classmates have any memories of dad that you would like to share, I know my brothers (Eric and Jason) and I would love to hear them. Again, thank you so much for this wonderful tribute. Happy holidays to you and yours. All my best, Molly Crabill

John passed away in 1982 at the age of 36. He was married to Barbara Golden (his second marriage) and had two children by that marriage. Barb still lives in Columbus, I believe. John was previously married to Linda Hotstetler from Fostoria and they had one son, Eric. John was a first cousin of Steve Buskirk (his mother, Mary and Steve's dad, Paul were siblings). John was one of the smartest people in our class and loved to play basketball and golf. He went to Ohio State University pre law and I believe got his law degree from Capital University. He was the Asst. Prosecutor for Tiffin at the time of his death. John (Mouse to his buddies) was also a great party animal, during our college years, hosting numerous "Hairy Buffalo" parties at his apartment at 90 W. 9th. St. in Columbus, especially during football season. I can remember well my numerous trips from BGSU to Columbus, as well as Tony Simpson and Tom Young coming up from Miami of Ohio for the two day event. The trip home was usually associated with a major headache from over consumption of the Buffalo concoction we mixed up in a plastic garbage can. Those were the years of great fun, a little studying and a lot of fond memories. Rest in Peace, "Crabes".
