Judith Sherer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judith Ann Sherer at 3:22 p.m., on March 23, 2025 at the age of 80.
Judy was born on March 17, 1945 in Tiffin, OH, to parents, Donald Buttruff and Betty Porter. Judy lived the last two years of her life at Autumnwood Care Center in Tiffin, OH.
Judy was known for her boisterous personality, charming sense of humor, and above all, her kind heart. She had strong relationships with all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Judy would often do puzzles and cook with her family, as well as host large family gatherings during holidays. Although her family mourns her loss, we take comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain.
Judy is survived by her beloved husband, Lanny Sherer after almost 62 years of marriage. The two fell in love while attending Tiffin Columbian High School in Tiffin, OH (graduating classes of 1962 and 1963). The two were wed on June 29, 1963 in Tiffin, OH.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Buttruff and Betty Porter; sister, Jennifer Ohler and grandson, Adam Jacobs.
Judy is also survived by a brother Larry (Ginny) Ohler, children Kevin Sherer, Kim (Chris) Jacobs, and Kristopher Sherer, grandchildren, Amber (Lue) Chandler, Autumn (Dewayne) Jacobs-Kelly, Brianna (Jessie) Parkins, Kaleb Sherer, and Kyle Sherer, great-grandchildren, Madison Smith, Ayden Chandler, Cameron Smith, Jackson Chandler, Rylee Parkins, Sylvia Parkins, and Alex Parkins.
Judy's ashes will be spread over Lake Erie with her family present as part of her final wishes. The Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin is assisting the family with their arrangements.
