My wife & I have had the pleasure of enjoying as neighbors (and watching the kids grow up) of both classmates, Jim & Joyce DeLucia and Doug & Evelyn Schroeder.
I think if there is one person from our high school days that no one seems to pay attention to it's the school's administrative treasurer, Gladys Just. Her photo is in the yearbook. Even I paid little attention to her and never said anything to her in my high school years. After my marriage, Gladys Just became our landlord, with us living upstairs in her duplex on Broadway close by the Toledo Zoo.
She became a special friend to us and we grew to love her as family. A remarkable woman in her own right.

I have a whole different Nation of people I've enjoyed these many years and have visited the Philippines myself! Edna is the love of my life; and yes, the Big Big boss...gulp!!
As of June 1, 2014 Edna & I will be completely RETIRED. Time to travel and spend more time in our Maumee, Ohio home and give up the place in Charleston, WV. We miss those magnificent green hill of WV, but it's time to join most of our bowsher64 classmate in RETIREMENT. So far it feels good being "home" & getting acquainted with the walking trails of Toledo's Metro Parks and volunteer as ushers at the Valentine Theatre in downtown Toledo, Ohio. Retirement means I can once again plan for a garden, including my passion for a perennial bed. Windsor chairmaking & Amateur Radio (W8DCT) are still my hobbies.

Like so many of our Class of 1964, we have witnessed the "tearing down" of TWO beloved high schools, Bowsher and Libbey. A sad event.
While in college, Toledo University, I got know our high school Physics Teacher, Glenn, Blinn. He continued to teach after high school at the University of Toledo. It was fun knowing this teacher/friend.
I can remember the cafeteria antics, esp those of Mike Dieger. I still enjoy knowing and reading Latin from our teacher, Mr. Wesley Jones. (he also sponsored our Chess Club). He stayed at Bowsher after graduation, I've often wondered what became of him.
Our grand niece is still attending the "new" Bowsher and is a Senior this year (2017). The last two semesters she made the "Principal's list". She found her way after grade school & is enjoying Bowsher.
