Robert L. Throne age 66 of Maumee passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 in Northwest Ohio Hospice Inpatient Unit, Perrysburg. He was born April 25, 1946 in Toledo to Richard and Dorothy (Martin) Throne. He was a 1964 graduate of Bowsher High School and a United States Navy veteran. Bob was employed at Champion Spark Plug for nearly 30 years and then worked for Bolin Labels for 8 years retiring in 2008. He enjoyed working with ceramics, doing his own pouring, firing, cleaning and selling them during craft shows. A fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, he also enjoyed working in his yard which was his pride and joy.
Preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sue; he is survived by his current wife Candace; daughters Renee Myers and Nanci Moseley; son Brent (Tammy) Throne; and grandchildren Michael, Taylor, Brittani, Jarod, Haleigh, Caleb, Nathan, Bryce, Adam and Grace.
After high school, I was reacquainted with Bob and his family in the late 1980's. He was a personal friend who taught me a great deal about income tax forms, gardening and ceramics.
