We need to say something about our classmate, Gerald. I do remember him. He died in 1975, age 28, from an auto accident. He was the son of Mr&Mrs. Clifford Hatfield, worked at the University of Toledo and was working towards BS degree at the time of his death. He was buried from St Charles Church and lies at Calvary Cemetery. He was a good fellow that accomplished a lot in a shorten lifetime. He will be missed.
Jim, you are absolutely correct about Gerald. His accident occured while he was helping others, which is a testimony to his kindness. He was a sweet, gentle man who cared for others more than himself. Something from which we could all take a lesson.
