Visitation for Rose Corcoran Smith will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m.at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue. A service will be held following visitation from 3:00 - 4:00 at the funeral home. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. A link to her obituary is below.

Rose's death is such a terrible loss for our class; I can only imagine what a sorrow it is for her family.

It's obvious from all the beautiful condolences being sent at the news of her death that we're all stretching for words to describe her unique personality and presence. Her energy, her joy and generosity, her sensitivity to others' needs, her unselfishness and insistence on putting others first, to go out of her way to help, her smile, her laughter... May her spirit still remain with us and incline us to imitate her kindness and her joy in life.

It saddens me to learn of Rose's passing.  We sat together in home room, I'm not sure how many of the 4 years but it's one of my favorite memories from Central.  The first reunion I managed to attend was for the 50 years and as soon as I saw Rose I felt that I was home at Central Catholic.
