McDERMOTT, Barbara C.
Barbara C. McDermott, age 66, passed away on November 10, 2015. She was born on February 5, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Virginia and C. Thomas McDermott.
Barb graduated from Start High School in 1967. She attended Toledo Hospital School of Nursing. Barb worked at Toledo Scale, Owens-Illinois Inc. and Therma-Tru. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her friends and pets.
Barb is survived by her brother, Jim (Barb) McDermott; nephews, Pat and Chris (Sidney). In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her daughters, Kerry and Lisa Thornsberry, and granddaughter, Liberty.
The family will receive guests on Saturday, November 14, 2015, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 4041 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH 43623.

So sorry to hear of Barb's passing. She was a good friend at SHS. Like most, we went our separate ways after high school but I did get a chance to visit with her at our last reunion and for that I am thankful. She was always so poised and gracious. May she rest in peace.
