Classmate Karen Yocum (Herbert) tells us of the passing of Helen, April 30, 2018. She was born in Topeka Feburary 17, 1943 and died in the York Township, Michigan.
From Helen"s obituary...She met her husband-to-be Charles Bliege while he was stationed at Forbes AFB. They wed in 1965 and moves to his home, Sweet Home, OR where he attended Oreigan State University and later founded a solar heating company. Charles died suddenly in 1981 and Helen and her two daughters, Catherine and Rebecca move back to Kansas. Helen worked at the U.S. Department of agriculture where she worked for 20 years. After retirment she relocated to Michigan to be close to her only surviving Daughter, Catherine. She is survived by her daughter, six grandchildren, a sister and broher-in-law. A memorial service took place, May 3, 2018 at Stony Creek United Methodist, Ypsilani, Michigan.
