At our 40th reunion, Scott told me that he remembered me bullying him at Roosevelt.  I told him I did remember us getting after him as he was acting foolish at basketball practice.  I guess that's bullying in today's world, like I said then "Scott I'm sorry".

I had the privilege of running on the Cross Country team with Scott.  Heavy Irwin named Scott and I Co-Captains of the team in our senior year.  I felt honored to be associated with him - he was such a gentleman and great competitor!

This was a sudden and unexpected loss. Scott had just finally retired from his long practice of medicine and he and Nora where moving into the community of Rancho Marina in Califnoria where they would spend their winters and continue to go to their cabin in Colorado for the summers.  I spoke to him only 3 weeks before he passed away.  He seemed happy about the move and looking forward to a long retirement of golf and family.

Beside my friendship with Scott in highschool he was my roommate for my first year of medical school at KU. He lead our class academically and helped me immeasurably with some of my studies.  However, when it was time to party he always held his own with his big grin and "go for it" attitude.  Scott.....you will be missed!!

SCOTT TOOK ME TO A FORMAL DANCE AT TOPEKA COUNTRY CLUB (THIS WAS BEFORE SKIP) AND I STILL HAVE A PICTURE MY PARENTS TOOK OF US IN FRONT OF OUR FIREPLACE ON CREST DRIVE.  IT WAS MY FIRST AND LAST DANCE AT TCC.  WE ENJOYED SPENDING TIME AT THE 50th REUNION WITH SCOTT AND NORA.  SO SAD TO BE SUCH A FUN-LOVING, SMART, INTERESTING GUY AND BE TAKEN "SO YOUNG" SHORTLY AFTER RETIRING!  PRAYERS TO NORA AND FAMILY.  HE IS MISSED WITH FOND MEMORIES.

I didn't have much of a history with Scott, but Nancy and I enjoyed talking to him (and wife) and getting "caught up" on his life and what he was doing. I've thought about him everytime I jog around Collins Park . . . at an immeasureable slow pace, not close to his old one. Surprised and very sorry he's gone.
