Ed's passing was reported by classmate Tim Stone. He died March 24, 2013. He had a bachlors degree in Chemical Engineering and served as a respected petrochemical professional for 31 years. He is servived by his wife Jackie, two sons and grandchildren.

Ed was one of the "good guys" . One particular thing I remember is a wrestling meet. I can't remember whith what school. Doesn't matter. At weigh-in, Ed was two pound over weight. He had about a half-hour before he would wrestle. So, we went down to the THS boiler room -- very hot there -- an Ed worked up a big sweat doing push-up, etc.
We went back to weigh-in...and he made weight. Then, he went out for his match -------and got pinned in 3 seconds!!

Eddie McConnell and I went to Boswell together and took an extreme interest in tennis together. We played a million sets of tennis together all through junior high. It was so extreme, we would play in the rain, squeegie the courts to get the big water off, shovel a whole court of snow so we could see the lines, play in very high winds, whatever it took just to get a few hours of tennis in. We played back "before the tie breakers" were introduced. You had to win the game and the set by two. The games went to a hundred duces before one of us would win and the sets (first one to 6, but win by two) would end at 27 to 29 or 31 to 33 or some ridculous number like that. At the end of the day Eddie went home with more wins than I did - but he was a good guy. He was a strong competitor. We'll miss him.

We've learned further that Ed passed away in Riviera, TX. He was an Eagle Scout, a High School Tennis Champ and had a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from Kansas State University. He designed and conducted management services across the glode from L.A. California, to Melbourne, Australia. Ed was a true friend of mine, he was always positive about everything that went on! Skip
