Harry and I were together from Sumner Grade School through Topeka High. He was a good friend. He lived across the street from the GS. I can just barely remember us playing against each other in dodgeball from age 5 or so and then again at THS in Phs. Ed. Funny how one remembers suff like that but can't recall what he ate for lunch yesterday!
I recently ran across a newspaper clipping of soldiers who were leaving to serve in World War II. It was in my Mom and Dad's stuff...which I have been going through. My dad was pictured in his army uniform and a Harry Nielson was pictured in his Navy uniform. He looks just like Harry that we went to school with...so I am sure it is his dad. I don't know where Harry's younger brother Bobby is...but would share it if he is interested. Harry was always fun to hang around with in school.
