Comments:

My wonderful beautiful wife of 46 years, Judi, passed away in September 2014 from complications of recurring ovarian cancer. She is missed by all who knew and loved her but her vivacious personality, hearty laugh and bubbly smile will always be in our hearts and minds.

Just had a goofy beach accident this past August (2016) and had to amputate about one third of my left foot (only one I had) to save the rest of it. Just another "minor inconvenience" in a long list of them due to diabetes (almost 59 years). Only problem is now I can't count past 10 - only have 10 fingers but no toes.

Enjoyed wonderful optometric practice in Topeka from 1969 - 1997 when I had to retire due to health complications of diabetes (diabetic since 1957). I was a founding member in 1972 of VOSH -Voluntary Optometric Service to Humanity, providing eye care and medical treatment to people of third world countries around the world. VOSH is now an international organization having served millions over the years.

Judi & I moved to South Florida permanently in 1999 - love it here, no snow to shovel. But, got bored and started buying real estate in mid-2000's -big mistake. Then we bought a Hearing Aid company - bigger mistake. Now just retired.

We were fortunate to have traveled extensively (7 continents). We did a lot of blue water sailing and managed to lose a leg in a boating accident in 1998 - but great prosthesis.

Happy Birthday Jack. A bit belated as I've been attempting to send for 3 days. Too technology challenged in my "Golden Years" I guess (didn't see the "post comment" - bad VA). At any rate, welcome to the 4th quarter century (75)!!!! Will send pics of aerial view of '64 Daytona "Firecracker" - we're in it.
Hope you had a good b-day. drr.
