Ron was a good kid - he and I had scooters at Boswell. We started out with what was called 'doodle bugs' which were little square frames with a motor, two tiny wheels, a clutch, and tiny seat and gas tank. We had a lot of fun keeping Mr. Vickers busy chasing the "Motor Scoots". Ron lived on MacVicar near Huntoon - and he was a really good mechanic and loved working on motors and stuff. JRM

Ronny and I were good friends, we spent untold hours in his green 54 Ford. Draging the gut (thats driving up and down Kansas ave.) Round and round Allens and Toppers drive ins. Working on airplane models in his basement on MacVicker Ave. He had a pet skunk that hung out with us in the basement. We ran around with several girls also, he had no trouble finding dates,  with dark hair and blue eyes, they all said he was a looker. Some of our friends were Sue Giesen, "my girlfriend" Tom Priddy, Sherry Priddy, Darrel Par, Butch Marlett, Owen Paul Blakley "Opie" and on and on!

We rolled the old Ford one night on Huntoon, right by his house. No one was hurt, But we had to drive my used up 54 Olds after that. I could go on for hours, so many stories, so many good times, so many memories.
