Tom Marshall was a good friend during our years at Randolph. I think he later played the Trombone? at Boswell and THS - and I remember he and Joe Klugg would play together in assemblies. They were all good kids. Tom lived just half a block on the Randolph corner opposite the grade school - and I remember he and I and others would ride our bikes around together through the Collins Park down the street. We would also meet at WestWood Drug Store and check out the latest Dunken YoYo stuff when the representive was there. Both Tom and I had older brothers who were always a pain - and younger siblings who were always under foot!
I met Tom at Boswell jr. High and we played trombone together all the way through high school in the concert and jazz band. He was fun and also an inspiration to me in the way he worked on his playing and his academics - we shared a lot of fun times at school.
