Dave spent his entire professional career providing therapy and counseling to children and their families. He served as an original member of Child Psychiatry Associates in Des Moines, Iowa. Dave was married to classmate Francie (Fran) Langsdorf and had two sons; Rick, married to Shelley, with daughter Kate, and Mark, married to Kim with sons Isaac and Jacob. Dave loved fly fishing in Colorado and cruising in his 1967 "Benz" with Fran and their Basset Hound, "Murphy".

Dave and I worked at Frank Griggs Menswear for several years until he moved on to another store. Sandy and I lived on the Washburn campus right down the street from he and Fran. I remember that we were both very busy, working really a full time work schedule and carrying a full load of courses at WU. I will miss catching up with him at our reunions.
