Linda Braden DeWeese

After graduation, I married Ed Weikel, August 1966, and moved to San Diego, California. I went to San Diego Community College for a semister or two, then worked for a company called Systems, Science & Software, in La Jolla, California. I then worked at General Dynamics/Convair, in their Data Processing Dept..Ed and I moved back to Topeka. We later divorced (no children).

I married Richard Dreier in November 1974 and worked at American States Insurance Company, until I had my second child. We have two children, Ryan and Kristen. We divorced after 10 years.

I married my now husband Harvey DeWeese in 1985 and became a stepmom to two boys, Brian and Burt, Making us a family of 6! I wanted to be a stay at home Mom to our 4 kids, so I worked part time selling Tupperware, where I became a manager, and earned and drove a Tupperware van for several years. I then started working part time at Helzberg Diamond Shops, in WestRidge Mall, which turned into a full time job. I loved working there, working with some great people over the years, helping clients find their "perfect piece of jewelry"! I am now retired, after more than 20 years.
Harvey and I will celebrated our 30th anniversary December 31, 2015:)

Harvey & I enjoy traveling, Hawaii and Napa Valley, California, Washington DC, are some of my favorite places to visit, along with many visits to see our kids and Grandkids in Keller, Texas (Ryan & Nicole, Olivia & Zach), Houston, Texas ( Kristen & Russ, Halle & Trey) and Coweta, Oklahoma (Brian & Kim, Jacob, Kayla & Dalton). Fortunately Burt & Michelle, Lexi & Branton still live in Topeka:)

I consider myself very lucky and blessed to have such a wonderful family and extended family, including my siblings and their children, and friends that make my life so much fun!
