Comments:

I graduated from Kansas State University in 1980. I married Bill Konicek and moved to Lander to begin my teaching job.
I spent several summers with my husband while he was a Wilderness Ranger in the Wind River Mountains.
When our children were little I played in the summers and enjoyed the weather in Wyoming.
I am now taking internet classes to complete my Masters in Reading and Literacy. [Up date! I completed my Masters January 2010 !!!!]
I have taught in the school system here in Lander for 29 years! Wow, that sounds like a long time!
I have taught in the primary grades K through 3. It allows me to stay young.
I had the experience of opening a K-3 school and being the only teacher in the building. I had 20 students (4-5 in each grade level). How many people can say that they taught in a one room school??? My school actually had a gym, four rooms, an office and a kitchen. I had one aide and a part time janitor. The first year I taught all four grades with the addition of art, music, and pe.
I am now back in a one grade classroom, with only 18 students. (Kindergarten). I love teaching.
for those of you that remember my dad... (Mr. Willmeth the science teacher), he is still doing well. He left Topeka and moved to a family farm town to work with my sister and her husband on a farm. Last year my parents house was hit by a tornado in Jewell, Kansas... Let me know if you want to get in touch with him. He would love to hear from you.

School Story:

I wish I could make it back to Topeka more often. Even when I make it to Kansas I go to Jewell or McPherson.
When I page through our yearbook I see so many of you that I wish I could just call and ask how you are doing. I have a lot of memories of football games, basketball, and then the sports I took part in. (vollyball, gymnastics and track) I learned a lot in my highschool years. Some good, some bad... well, I learned them anyway.
My favorite times were with Dawn, Chris, Patty and of course Mike.
Many of you will never know how you touched my life, Thank you all...
Angie, I wish I knew where you were... what you were up to. I would love to hear from you.
I must have missed the 30 year. I don't think I ever got anything about it... if we had something.
Will there be any get togethers?
I would love to plan a trip down memory lane.
