According to John’s brother, Frances Stockton, John died sometime in 2023. I looked for an obituary in Plainfield, IL, where John and his wife lived before she died seven or eight years ago. We were not someplace we could spend much time talking but Frances said John died from cancer. I also checked Topeka and Ava, MO, for an obit but no luck.
