Carroll Parrett

BERRYTON, KANSAS - Carroll Richard Parrett, 71, passed away January 19, 2016. He was born March 8, 1944, in Topeka, the son of Scott, Sr. and Vera (Morgan) Parrett. Carroll graduated from Highland Park High School in 1962 where he was a member of the Madrigal Singers. He then graduated from Washburn University. After serving in the US Air Force, he spent the majority of his working life in management for transportation companies. He was a founding member and past vice-president of the Kansas Bed and Breakfast Association. He owned the Holiday House Bed and Breakfast in Wichita. He also served as a reserve police officer. He continued to enjoy singing and preforming throughout all his life.  If he wasn’t talking to you he could be heard humming a song. He had a great sense of humor and loved puns. He is survived by his three children, Michelle, Steve, and Jennifer, and 7 grandchildren.

Carroll was a fun neighborhood guy we had a great time in the old hicrest hood, enjoyed knowing and sharing life with him over the years. Rest in peace my friend! Neil

I am so sorry about Carroll's passing. Such a nice guy. I remember him in band playing the euphonium. My sincere condolences to the family. You will miss him.
