I remember Lowell from high school and his family's ivolvement with Topeka Cemetary. I believe his father was manager for a long while. However, I got to know Lowell years later when he helped our famiy bury household pets in the pet section. One of my uncles was on the cemetary board and as a newly-minted attorney I was "volunteered" to provide free legal advice to the organization when needed. I only worked with Lowell on a couple of matters but was quite impressed with his knowledge of and commitment to the work and requirements necessary to keep the cemetary afloat during what seemed to be endless financial woes. The citizens of Topeka owe a great debt of gratitude to Lowell and his family for their work and caring for the cemetary.

Later, I would bump into and visit with Lowell at one of the many elementary school pancake feeds. He was a smart, knowledgeable guy about a lot of topics and a joy to be around. May he rest in peace

Warren,

Those are kind, well spoken words. I don't recall seeing Lowell after graduation, did not have the fortune you did of reaquainting with him. You seem to have judged him well, based on bits and pieces I've heard or read over the years and we are all the less for his passing.
