Roy L. Callahan, 67, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, July 4th, 2012 at the KU Medical Center from injuries he suffered in a motor vehicle accident. He was born June 27, 1945 in Topeka, KS, the son of Lewis and Alma Callahan. Roy lived in Topeka most of his life. He was a stone mason and was employed by Schumacher Masonry. Roy was a member of the Eagle Lodge and he loved to fish. Roy married Patricia Lane on Dec. 24th 1989 in Topeka. She survives. He is also survived by his children, Lloyd Callahan (Gena), Vista Lyda (Jeff), Matthew Callahan, Lisa Dister (Ben Soza, Dan Dister, Jr.), Leanne Cohorn (Mike); and 11 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 10th at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66606. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Eagle Lodge, 2941 SE Fremont Topeka, KS 66605.
