Fred W. Bryant

Fred W. Bryant, 29, Beaverton, Oregon, formerly of 3336 James, Topeka, Kansas, died Tuesday at a Portland, Oregon, medical center.  He had leukemia. 

He was born February 26, 1950, in Topeka, the son of Ernest and Mary Lou Hyatt Bryant.  He attended State Street Elementary School, Holiday Junior High School and was graduated from Highland Park High School in 1968.

Mr. Bryant was a draftsman at the State Office Building, Topeka, before entering the Navy, August 14, 1969.  He was given a medical retirement in 1977.

Fred was Kansas representative for the National Jaguar Association.  He was married to Deborah Buntin on June 26, 1970, in Topeka, she survives.

Other survivors includes; daughter, Marade E. Bryant, of the home; a son, James W. Bryant, of the home; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Bryant, 236 Freeman, a sister, Mrs. Sandy Ensign, Topeka and a grandmother, Mrs. Francis Hyatt, Topeka.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Topeka.  Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.  Mr. Bryant will lie in state from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, 1405 S. Hydraulic, Wichita, 67211.
