Leonard C. Cole

Leonard C. “Lennie” Cole, 23, 1009 Long, died Tuesday in a Topeka hospital.  He had an apparent blood ailment and had been ill several months.

He was born September 10, 1949 in Topeka where he spent most of his life.  He attended Belvoir Elementary School, East Topeka Junior High School and Highland Park High School.  He was a corporal in the Marine Corps and served in Vietnam from December, 1969 to December, 1970.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard E. Cole, at home; two brothers, Dennis Cole and John Cole, both at home; and a sister, Joyce Cole, at home.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Parker Mortuary.  Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Gardens.
