June K. (Harris) Smith
June K. Smith, 59, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2009 at Select Specialty Hospital. She was born February 19, 1950 in Topeka the daughter of Wesley and Lurraina (Hercules) Harris. June was a graduate of Highland Park High School. June was a child care provider in her home. In her spare time she liked to sew. She attended East Side Baptist Church in Topeka and a church in Osage City.
June is survived by a son David W. Smith of Topeka and a daughter Mary Bell (Ben) Jeter of Carbondale. Grandchildren, Isis Smith, Samuel Jeter and Hanna Jeter also survive. June will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Park Cemetery.
