Willie Mae was a beautiful; soft spoken young lady.  She was generous with her friendship and was always ready to chat in the hallways of our beloved Highland Park High School.  Willie Mae, passed on to Heaven, on May 8, 2002. Gone Too Soon!!!

Willie Mae Hubbard, 52, Topeka, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at a Snellville, Ga., hospice. Ms. Hubbard was a retired LHHT at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center and a former long-time employee of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.  She was born Aug. 8, 1949, in Milledgeville, Ga., the daughter of Willie Hubbard and Mary M. Archer-Reese. Ms. Hubbard was a member of True Vine Baptist Church.  Survivors include a daughter, Tina Rochelle Harper, Atlanta; two brothers, James Ellis Sr., Milledgeville, Ga., and Thomas Hawkins, Philadelphia; and two grandchildren.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will be in Topeka Cemetery.
