Lonnie was a giver and loved the Lord with all of his heart. Spyder was born on June 27,1950 and went to Heaven on October 12, 2010.
Lonnie Ray Spyder Jacob, 60, Topeka, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at home of an apparent heart attack. He was born June 27, 1950 at Topeka, the son of Murvin George and Maxine Elizabeth Brooks Jacob, Sr. He was a 1968 graduate of Highland Park High School. He was currently working in the home construction industry in Topeka. He was involved with dirt track racing throughout the Midwest since the early 1950's. Lonnie was ordained as a minister and elder at the Redemption Center Church of North Topeka and was very involved in street ministry with focus on the less fortunate. He had served the last few years, helping with the rebuilding of the New Orleans hurricane/flood disaster area and had spent considerable time with evangelist work in many areas of the United States and Mexico. With these service activities, his large personality and willingness to help, Lonnie had many friends throughout the country and was easily recognized where ever he went. He is survived by his mother, Maxine E. Jacob Kerr, Topeka, a son, Jace (Melinda) Jacob, Lecompton, son-in-law, Kurtis Wells, Topeka, three brothers, Murvin(Debbie) Jacob, Jr., Tahlequah, OK., Mike Jones, Meriden, Merrill (Tina) Jacob, Meriden and four grandchildren, Konner Jacob Wells, Elias Hamm, Juniper Jacob and Jubilee Jacob. He was preceded in death by his father in 1990, a daughter, Sarah Autry Jacob Wells on March 17, 2009, a granddaughter, Biloxie Breeze Jacob in 2005 and a brother John Jacob in 1947. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 20 at the Highland Park United Methodist Church. Cremation is planned.
