Comments:

After graduation, I got married, moved to Ga., Pa., Mass., Mo., Kentucky, (whew) only because my husbands' job required it. I saw more cold states and had more colds that I care to remember. (lol) I attended several colleges and finally received my degree in accounting in Kentucky. Became single again and moved back to a warmer climate, Georgia. I was blessed to only have one interview for a job and I have had THAT job for almost 30 years with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

I have been very active with District 14 Toastmasters International for a number of years, and really enjoy it. Believe me, ask me How YOU can conquer fear of public speaking! Amazing!

I retired last year!!!! I look forward to traveling for more for pleasure now. I have been to Paris, and Italy, and am eager to make pilgrimage to Africa.
(It's on my bucket list)

I come home to Topeka to visit my Mom more frequently now since retired. Who knows, I may return there and dabble in politics.

My 4 grandchildren are the light of my life-ages 18, 16, 4 and 3.

School Story:

What I remember (and I'll never forget it) was marching in a parade in extremely cold weather-in the little short majorette uniform. There were only a few of us, and as I tossed the baton high up in the air, I realized that I had missed it... coming down. I tried to get it quickly but it continued to roll down the street as I was galloping after it. I was so embarrassed. And I had practiced so much!!! I remember Mr. Ben Tice saying things after the parade to try to make me feel better, but I still cried and hid in my room afterwards. Mr. Tice was really a nice guy!! Thank God I can laugh about it now.

(I still have the baton and the tassled boots too!)
