Barbara had such a fun sense of humor.  Barb was born October 1, 1950 and passed away on July 14, 2102 after a long and hard battle with breast cancer. 

Barbara A. Swisher, 61, Topeka, passed away July 14, 2012. She was born October 1, 1950 in Chaska, MN to Donald and Ruth Scott. She was a lifetime state employee and an accomplished cloth doll sculptor, caterer, and quilter. She touched so many lives with her big heart of love. She is survived by her son Jacob Swisher; granddaughter Mickele M. Melton; brother, David Scott and family of Topeka; sisters, Deborah Edwards and family of Osage City, and Diane Waltho and family of Lawrence; extended family residing in MN; her love was too much for just one family, best friends Norma and Don Weaver and family; and numerous friends, too many to list. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held one hour before the service.
