Robert Franklin Wood
Graveside inurnment services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery for Robert F., Wood, 35, Topeka. He died Saturday, June 1, at a Topeka hospital where he was readmitted seven weeks ago. Mr. Wood had been a restaurant waiter.
He was born April 29, 1950, in Topeka, the son of Robert L. and Ione E. Sheets Wood. He was graduated from Highland Park High School in 1968. He lived in New Orleans, La., four years before he returned to Topeka for health reasons in 1993.
Mr. Wood served with the Navy from 1968 to 1972. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Ione E. Wood, Topeka, a brother, Thomas L. Wood, Topeka; and a sister, Mrs. Bonnie Jean Grable, Carbondale.
Mr. Wood was cremated. Tibbitts-Griffin Highland Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3003 Van Buren, 66611.
