ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hello Classmates.  We wanted to give you an update on the status of our reunion planning this year which we were hoping would be held to replace our 55th that had to be cancelled last year.  2020 was a Covid-challenged year for everyone and while it appears those challenges may be subsiding, we still don’t know what this year will bring.  In order to make our next reunion successful, the Reunion Team needed to consider the following:

  • Will there be a vaccine requirement for flying?
  • Will there be a vaccine requirement for attending functions?
  • Will there be a capacity limit required by the facility?
  • Will masks still be required when gathering in large groups?
  • Will classmates who do not take the vaccine prevent them from attending?
  • Will classmates not take the chance to make travel arrangements?

Because there are no definite answers to these questions, the team decided not to have the reunion this year.  Instead, we will be holding off until our 60th.

Meanwhile, stay safe and hopeful that this year will allow us to move on from this awful pandemic.

Best wishes until we gather again.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - 55th Reunion Cancelled

Due to the life-altering circumstances caused by the Covid-19 virus and the uncertainty as to how long it will impact our lives going forth, the 55th Reunion of the Class of '65 which was scheduled for October 9 & 10, 2020, is cancelled.  The Reunion Committee will reconvene early next year to consider having a 56th reunion the first weekend in October 2021 and will post an update here on this website after that meeting.

Meanwhile, we hope that you stay safe from the virus and that we will all be able to return to normal soon, whatever "normal" means.

The Reunion Committee

Thank you ... thank you ...thank you to the reunion committee for planning such a terrific celebration for our 50th!!! All the events were wonderful and the nostalgia was sweet. I'm so grateful to all of you (and I'm sure I'm not alone) that you put so much time and effort into this project. I'm really looking forward to the 55th!
