Art and I lived near each other and were close friends in 7th and 8th grade. I remember when he, Tom Higgins and I would play endless games of ping-pong in Art's basement (I always lost). Art wanted to be a professional baseball player and I wanted to save the world. Neither of us hit the mark. It was a wonderful surprise to accidentally sit across from him at one of the THS reunions. He was a part of my life and I'm pleased to have crossed paths with him in our "formative" years.
