Children: | I had a miniature pinscher named Velma who now lives with my sister Sarah...I wasn't able to be as good More…of a doggy parent as she is. I'd like to believe that she still remembers me and thinks of me as her "other" parent. |

I moved from TC in 2000 to Grand Rapids to go to hair school. I had a great time there but wanted to try living in a bigger city. I moved here to Chicago in 2002 and I pretty much love it here. There are times when the city annoys the crap out of me, but for the most part it is great! There is always TC summer vacations for those times when I need a break from the city.
I always love getting together with my family and hanging out on Spider Lake on my Sarah's boat. My favorite thing to do is tie up to the boat on a float and bake in the sun.
It is always great to catch up with friends when I am home too. I love that the usual gang still gets together over at Bridgette's house...or in recent years at Mike and Robin's. Although I have not been able to attend those parties yet. It reminds me of the good old days sitting in their back yard and roasting marshmallows and playing corn tag. I recently told one of my clients about corn tag and they laughed at me and gave me the, well that must have been a fun thing to do in Northern Michigan". My response, it is some of the best memories that I have.
I have so many memories...I think that fall festival was one of my favorites. Making clay balls on the clay hill...boys chase girls and always wanting to be on the girls team...or letting them out of "jail" if I was on the boys team. Playing four square and having Terry Mesko rule the squares. Running in the halls and getting that look from Mrs. Richards. Being spanked in Mr. Holbrook's class (thanks to Jenny Mesko and Matt Cozzens) Jenny Heidenreich getting spanked for making fart noises under her arm with Jess Dear, LOL Sucking at basket ball and track...having Mrs. Heidenreich yell "GET THE LEAD OUT STEPHAN" while I was trying to jump the 50 yard hurdles.
The old HUGE swings...before they made the play ground all stupid! The ghetto merry-go-round until someone got hurt on it...I think Michelle Parish?? That was gross! Falling through the ice when the play ground would flood...Ice skating on it...good times!
These memories are ones that I carry with me everyday. I swear not a week/month goes by where I don't have a vivid dream about the good ole days!
I'd love to hear more of your memories!
