Derita Miller Henderson

After graduating from high school, I went on to LCC to play basketball for one year. Left from there and went straight to work. And I have been working ever since. I am in the automotive technical assembly field. I met my wonderful husband and we later married on June 20, 1983.We have been married for 26 years now.
During our marriage, We had two beautiful baby girls. Mionna September 27, 1985 and Kaneesha October 31, 1990.

Mionna has a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated in 2007. She now attends ECU getting her double masters in substance abuse counseling and rehabilitation counseling. She will graduate in May 2009.

Kaneesha will graduate from Kinston High School in June 2009 at the top of her class. She will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a full academic scholarship and major in Business Administration. She is the mother of my grandson, Derion Newborn who was born April 10, 2008 and he has been keeping me busy ever since.

I'm still into sports even though I don't play basketball anymore I still enjoy playing softball every summer!

There were so many its very hard to pick and choose which one was the best.

June 1979 was one of the best, I was finally on my own.
